Dog Day Afternoon

That would be a good name for a movie, too. twilightzonewor/banana.gif

That reminds me, wasn't Maternal Instincts the movie where Sharon Stone asks the police, "What are you going to do, arrest me for breastfeeding?"

Why is this one of your favorite titles, Jayo? Did you win the Daily Number drawing with it or something? (In New Jersey, we call it the Pick-3.)

Nothing like that, Matt. In the episode, Declan's assistant, Miranda, got the number stuck in her head, to the point that it was affecting her behavior, and not in a good way. They finally figured out what was going on, it was pretty original. smile.gif

OK, I think I understand now, Jenn - you like the way the title evokes that episode. I'd still figure that, outside of numbers freaks like me, only someone with a personal association with that number would like the title in and of itself.

By the way, 528 is a triangular number (non-math types are advised to scroll down a bit and look at the first picture, on the right).

The triangular number is really an easy concept to understand as long as a lot of advanced symbols aren't used. Take, for example, bowling. The pins are set up in a triangle, with rows of 1, 2, 3, and 4 pins. The total number of pins is 1+2+3+4=10.

Similarly, a complete rack of pool balls is another triangle. This one has 1+2+3+4+5=15 balls.

So any number that's the sum of every integer from 1 through a higher number is a triangular number, because that many objects can be arranged in an equilateral triangle.

If someone made a TV episode about fireflies slipping out of detention to listen to heavy metal, Jenn, what would you want the title to be?

What would you call an episode like that, Matt? biggrin.gif

The Life After People episode is about how invasive species would do without people around to control them. For example, burmese pythons would pretty much take over the lower 40% of the US.

I remember the last season that Get Smart was on (I think it switched to another network, CBS? It started on NBC), they had episodes that had names that were take offs of movies of that era.

I Am Curiously Yellow (I Am Curious Yellow)
The Mess of Adrian Listenger (The List of Adrian Messenger)

There were other episodes also named after films, but I have long since forgotten them.

Here's a list of the 5th and final season episodes. Apes of Wrath? Treasure of C. Errol Madre?

You're right about the network switch. You probably remember the episode titles because, unusually for a sitcom, they were displayed on screen in the final season.
